Triumph

Color always wins. In the Triumph series, I explore the dynamic tension and harmony that arise from the dialogue between orange and blue—two complementary colors whose vibrational contrast creates both energy and balance. The interplay of these hues becomes a stage where stillness and intensity coexist, allowing the paintings to breathe with quiet resonance while holding a palpable sense of movement.

At the heart of these compositions lies the mystery of the human figure. Through line drawings embedded within the painted surface, forms emerge subtly, often revealed only upon closer looking. This layered approach invites the viewer to linger, to move between recognition and abstraction, and to discover figures that feel at once timeless and fleeting.

Inspired by textiles, particularly the geometry and rhythm of quilts and the narrative richness of medieval tapestries, I construct compositions where color fields, textures, and hidden forms interweave. The result is an unfolding experience of both pattern and presence—a space where color vibrates, figures whisper from within, and the ordinary transforms into something contemplative and quietly luminous.
