GIFTS

In my series GIFTS, I explore the quiet presence of the human figure through line drawings embedded within layers of color, pattern, and imagery. The figures are solitary, yet they exist within a world of shapes and painted textures, creating a dialogue between simplicity and complexity.

The surrounding patterns act almost like a protective fabric—an environment that both conceals and reveals the figure. This interplay reflects a sense of stillness, calm, and inward reflection. My intention was to offer a sense of peace through these works, where the figures become gentle carriers of gifts—intangible offerings of presence, serenity, and contemplation.

The paintings invite the viewer into a layered visual world where figures and forms merge, evoking the feeling of receiving something both personal and universal: the gift of stillness.
